Just a quick note to let you know the arcade is back. It doesn't have all the same games as before, and runs on a different system, but has more features, and getting more games is only a matter of time.
So, enjoy 
Oh, and I've started a Space Invaders tournament, so come check it out

Looking for something to read, but already read all the new posts? Why not check out our new Random Thread feature?
Just click the link in the navigation bar at the top, and it'll jump you to a totally random thread within the forum, to have a good read though. This forum is full of classic threads, so give it a go and see what you come up with

OK guys, I'm looking for a Favicon to use with this site.
A favicon (for anyone that doesn't know) is the little icon that's displayed next to the URL of the site up in the address box, and next to links in your browsers bookmarks.
There are a bunch of tools you can use online to generate the icon, such as http://www.favicon.co.uk/, http://www.favicon.cc/, http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/ and http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/ - so all I need you to do is find/create an image you like, convert it to an icon, and upload it.
After about a week I'll put up a poll to let people choose the one they like the most - which will then be used on the site.
Make sure you upload both the .ico file, and, if you can, a jpg/gif/png of the image so we can preview it.

Can you use this thread to post any problems you can find with the forum. I'm talking about features in the old site that are missing from this one. Try to keep them simple without too much waffle, and please don't use this thread for general chat.

OK, I've recieved a lot of feedback from people about the forum, and I can see that I've made some mistakes, so I'm in the process of making changes to fix the problems.
Fixed so far:- Name - we're now Arathor.net (TalkGam.es is dead)
- Quick reply box working again
- Members can upload their own custom avatars again
One of the reasons I wanted to upgrade to the latest vbulletin is the creation of social groups - these will let you do things like set-up groups for your guilds, and (once you have enough members) set-up your own forum for that group. I'm still in the process of testing this out, but please feel free to have a play around with the system and see what you think of it.
I'm also going to work on a couple other things, such as getting better smilies and forum avatars.
Please let me know what other changes you want and I'll get to work on them.
